Day 120
TrumpMart; Final words of a killer
Today’s Big Story…
Over the weekend, President Trump slammed Walmart, saying the company should absorb the added costs from his tariff policies.
He also warned against the retail giant from raising prices, following the retailer’s statement that hikes were possible. He reiterated his view that import taxes should be absorbed by foreign producers and retailers, not passed on to consumers. However, according to Walmart Chief Financial Officer John David Rainey, consumers could see price hikes by the end of the month.
Walmart, the largest retailer in the country, responded to Trump’s warning in a statement: "We have always worked to keep our prices as low as possible, and we won’t stop. We’ll keep prices as low as we can for as long as we can given the reality of small retail margins."
Walmart CFO John David Rainey recently told CNBC: "We have not seen price increases at this magnitude, in the speed in which they’re coming at us before, and so it makes for a challenging environment."
Another Big Story…
“President Trump, keep making America great; I’m ready to go.”
Those were the chilling final words of Glen Rogers, a suspected serial killer who was put to death over the weekend. Rogers, 62, was executed by lethal injection at Florida State Prison after spending nearly 30 years on death row after killing Tina Marie Cribbs, a mother of two, in 1995.
Rogers lived a violent life and was suspected of multiple other killings. He once claimed to have murdered around 70 people, though he later retracted that statement. Known as the “Casanova Killer” or “Cross Country Killer,” many of his known or suspected victims were petite, red-haired women in their 30s. He was also convicted of murdering Sandra Gallagher, a mother of three, whom he met and killed three weeks before Cribbs.
A documentary made by Rogers’ brother even speculated that he might have been responsible for the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
Death row inmate and serial killer Glen Rogers used his last words to praise Trump: “President Trump, keep making America great. I’m ready to go.”

The Administration…
President Trump blasted the Supreme Court this weekend after it voted 7-2 to block his administration from deporting Venezuelan gang members and criminals under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act. Only Justices Thomas and Alito supported the administration.
The Trump administration downplayed Moody’s decision to downgrade the U.S. credit rating from Aaa to Aa1 over rising debt and interest costs. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent called Moody’s a “lagging indicator” on NBC’s Meet the Press, echoing skepticism toward credit agencies.
Bessent also dismissed criticism of Trump’s plan to accept a $400 million luxury jet from the Qatari royal family, denying any quid pro quo. He said Trump likely won’t keep the plane after leaving office, comparing it to past foreign gifts like the Statue of Liberty and the Resolute Desk.
President Trump said he will speak separately with Russian President Putin and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, continuing his push for a ceasefire to end the three-year war. He has urged both leaders for months to reach a peace deal.
Karol Nawrocki, a historian and “pro-Trump” candidate backed by Poland’s Law and Justice party, is projected to advance to the second round of the presidential election after a strong first-round showing narrowed the gap with frontrunner Rafał Trzaskowski, Warsaw’s mayor.
The Department of Transportation confirmed no structural damage to NYC’s Brooklyn Bridge following a massive Mexican navy tall ship slamming into the bridge, toppling its huge masts and leaving two dead and 17 injured.
A legal group aligned with Trump has joined a lawsuit in D.C., seeking to overturn the 1981 Luevano consent decree. The Carter-era agreement ended merit-based hiring in federal agencies and replaced written tests with alternative assessments after a settlement with Black and Hispanic plaintiffs.
Following President Trump’s major Middle East trip, speculation has grown over why Secretary Hegseth’s planned visit to Israel was canceled and what the broader implications are for U.S.-Israel relations. While sources maintain that the U.S. is not abandoning Israel, the Trump administration has signaled a shift toward prioritizing American interests in the region when engaging with Muslim-majority nations.
FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo that they believe Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in his Manhattan jail cell.
Vice President…
JD Vance and Second Lady Usha met Pope Leo during his inaugural mass at St. Peter’s Square this weekend, shaking hands despite differing views on immigration.
While the Trump administration has a more conservative view on the enforcement of immigration compared to the Chicago-born pope’s view, Vance recently commented the following on the matter to conservative media personality Hugh Hewitt, stating: “I try not to play the politicisation of the Pope game. I’m sure he’s going to say a lot of things that I love. I’m sure he’ll say some things that I disagree with, but I’ll continue to pray for him and the Church despite it all and through it all, and that’ll be the way that I handle it.”
Congress…
THE HOUSE
•Republicans advanced their major tax cut and border security package through a key House committee in a rare Sunday night vote, after earlier opposition from deficit hawks eased following promises of spending cuts. Speaker Mike Johnson called the changes “minor modifications.” Democrats pressed for details, but Budget Committee Chair Rep. Jodey Arrington said he couldn’t share them.
•House Speaker Mike Johnson also reassured that he’s confident Republicans will unite to pass President Trump’s “big beautiful” bill by their Memorial Day deadline.
•Rep. Scott Fitzgerald (R-WI) accused Attorney General Merrick Garland of violating his oath by helping block the release of audio from President Biden’s 2023 interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur, which revealed signs of mental decline. Fitzgerald said Garland misled Congress and advised Biden to assert executive privilege to withhold the recording.
•Rep. Michael Rulli (R-OH) delivered a video message from President Trump to WWII veteran Denver Moore to celebrate his 104th birthday. Moore, a longtime Trump supporter from Ohio, went viral in March after inviting Trump to his party in a TikTok video with over a million views.
THE SENATE
•Top-ranking Senate Democrats on the Foreign Relations, Intelligence, and Armed Services committees claimed Trump’s tariff policy is undermining U.S. alliances and security, while costing households around $2,800 annually.
•Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), a possible 2028 presidential contender, said Democratic loyalty to Joe Biden hurt the party in the 2024 election, as new books raise questions about what Democrats knew of his cognitive decline.
•Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) is pushing to preserve parts of President Biden’s climate law as Republicans seek cuts to fund their reconciliation package. She urged a “cautious and conscientious approach” rather than scrapping the green energy credits in Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act.
The Resistance…
Activist group Refuse Fascism is planning an anti-Trump protest on June 14, President Trump’s 79th birthday, aiming to upstage his planned military parade in Washington, D.C.
The Biden administration’s alleged use of an autopen is a growing scandal. A recent Heritage Foundation report found that most official documents under former President Biden were signed using an autopen. President Trump is raising concerns about the authenticity of the signatures.
Former Vice President Mike Pence said on NBC’s Meet the Press that President Trump’s recent speech in Saudi Arabia was a “disservice” to veterans.
A U.S. judge in New Mexico dismissed trespassing charges against dozens of illegal aliens who crossed into a new military zone on the U.S.-Mexico border, dealing a setback to Trump administration efforts to increase penalties for illegal crossings.
NYU has suspended the diploma of student Logan Rozos after he criticized Israel’s actions in Gaza as “genocide” during his graduation speech. His remarks drew mixed reactions, with some applauding and giving a standing ovation, while others showed disapproval.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said that uranium enrichment will continue regardless of any nuclear deal with the U.S., calling it part of Iran’s "peaceful nuclear program" in a post on X.
The FDA has approved Novavax’s protein-based COVID-19 vaccine, but with limits. Previously authorized for ages 12 and up under emergency use, the vaccine is now fully approved only for adults 65+ or those aged 12–64 with health conditions that increase COVID-19 risk.
HBO host Bill Maher urged Americans to “get over the fantasy” that they hold deep convictions, criticizing them for shifting beliefs based on party trends.
During an episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, feminist activist Clementine Ford struggled to define the term “woman,” eventually claiming it’s someone who has ever been afraid of a man.
Maine Gov. Janet Mills will receive the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award next month for her opposition to the Trump administration’s stance against transgender athlete participation in women’s sports.

Your Opinions & Questions…
Axekick777: ”Thanks so much DML for being decent about Biden. I do not like him or voted for him but I will pray for him as a fellow human being. Thank you for your wisdom and response to this news. Your voice is more important than you can imagine.”
47 Report: In a world often marked by deep division, even those we strongly dislike can still be offered a simple gesture of goodwill. Trump extended well wishes to Biden following the announcement of his prostate cancer diagnosis, and I do the same—wishing him a full and swift recovery. Though if the tables were turned and Trump were diagnosed, I doubt well-wishes would be extended to him by the Left and elitists, considering most of them constantly call for his assassination (like Comey).
That said, I can’t help but question the possibility of a cover-up surrounding the timing of Biden’s diagnosis. Based on the nature of the cancer and how it reportedly progressed, it raises legitimate concerns about whether the administration, Biden’s family, or top Democratic allies withheld this information for longer than publicly known. Time will tell—perhaps through a physician or staffer’s eventual tell-all book.
