The 47 Report

Correcting the Sins of COVID

Trump’s been fast at work cleaning up the American military, such as eliminating DEI programs and banning transgender troops. But he’s also looking to welcome back and reenlist soldiers dismissed from service for refusing to take the COVID jab when the Biden administration implemented vaccine mandates. The reinstated service members will be restored to their prior rank and provided back pay and benefits. It’s a correction long overdue.

A recent White House press release reads: “The Executive Order directs the Secretary of Defense to reinstate all members of the military (active and reserve) who were discharged for refusing the COVID vaccine and who request to be reinstated… From 2021 to 2023, the Biden Administration and former Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin discharged over 8,000 troops solely due to their COVID-19 vaccination status. After the vaccine mandate was repealed in 2023, only 43 of the more than the 8,000 troops dismissed elected to return to service under the Biden Administration and Secretary Austin.”

Trump reemphasized his pledge at his conference meeting with Republican lawmakers in Miami last night and stated Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth will be leading the efforts to see to it that it’s accomplished, along with a compact list of other long-term objectives for the U.S. military.

Once Trump signs the EO, Hegseth and the military will need to re-earn the trust of these expelled soldiers for rightfully refusing to comply with a faulty gene therapy application disguised (and falsely marketed) as a curable vaccine.

Sam Shoemate, an advocate for military veterans, recently explained why former military members who were fired for not complying with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate are still scared to re-enlist: “No one has been held accountable. No one has been charged with a crime for making their troops take an experimental drug. What’s to stop the DOD from giving me an unlawful order in the future and ruining my life all over again if I refuse?”

Chinese Surprise: The stock market and cryptocurrencies have been riding high since the election of Donald J. Trump. They even received a nice bump following the announcement of Project Stargate, the multi-billion dollar AI infrastructure investment proposed by OpenAI and SoftBank. But they took a beating Monday with the unleashing of China’s AI model, DeepSeek. The Chinese AI model runs more efficiently than OpenAI’s ChatGPT, took only two months to build, and cost just a few million dollars (according to the Chinese). Top AI stock NVIDIA lost nearly 20% of its stock value Monday, as investors showed concerns that the chip maker may not be as important to the AI movement as once thought.

Profile Picture DML OPINION

It is great to see the members of our military be treated correctly, what was done to them during Covid was sinful. But the issue is this: We were all treated terribly during Covid. What Dr. Fauci did to us all was criminal.

Our system is broken when a man like Fauci can destroy so many facets of our country during the pandemic and then walk away a richer man than he already was. I would love for Trump and his soon-to-be-confirmed A.G, Pam Bondi to find a way to charge Fauci with a crime despite the pardon given by Biden. Although it would not undo the things he did, it would make many of us trust the system once again.

I am really pissed off having to write about Fauci this morning. I wonder if it has anything to do with me losing $30,000 yesterday in my retirement account due to China’s announcement of DeepSeek. Lets never forget how China and Fauci were partners in the PLANDEMIC. I despise China as much as I do Fauci.

Border Patrol vs. Cartel: Mexican cartel members fired on American citizens and Border Patrol agents yesterday. Near Fronton, Texas, suspected cartel gunmen fired at Border Patrol agents while illegal aliens tried to cross the river. Agents returned fire, preventing the crossing, with no injuries reported.

Increasing Deportations: ICE arrested nearly 1,000 people on Sunday and issued 554 detainers for illegal aliens deemed removable under federal immigration law. Border Czar Tom Homan stated the efforts are just beginning; videos are also showing illegal aliens attempting to hide from law enforcement as deportation operations are underway.
→→→ FROM ICE: Enforcement Update as of Jan 27 2025: 1,179 arrests; 853 detainers lodged.
→→→FROM HOMELAND SECURITY: “In the first week of the Trump Administration, we have fulfilled President Trump's promise to the American people to arrest and deport violent criminals illegally in the country. In one week, law enforcement officials have removed and returned 7,300 illegal aliens.”

Constitutional Analysis: Nearly two dozen states are suing to block Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants. However, legal experts like Hans von Spakovsky of the Heritage Foundation argue the order is lawful under the 14th Amendment:

WHO: Trump has directed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to immediately cease all collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), accelerating the U.S. withdrawal process. Although Trump's executive order to formally withdraw from WHO requires Congressional approval, the administration is already implementing the separation effective immediately.

From DOGE: “In the first 80 hours, approx $420M of current/impending contracts have been cancelled. 2 leases have also been cancelled. Initial focus is mainly on DEI contracts and unoccupied buildings.”

Fearless First Lady: Melania Trump unveiled her official White House portrait. The First Lady looked fearless and beautiful as she struck a bold pose, particularly with her stature, which drew comparisons between her 2016 portrait and today’s. View the complete portrait here.

THE CRAZY LEFT

Illegal Alien Rally: Hundreds protested President Trump’s new immigration policies in Dallas. Social media posts encouraged participants to "show up & speak up for those who can’t," drawing large crowds with foreign flags and signs. Watch Here.

AOC Defends Colombia: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., criticized Trump's tariff dispute with Colombian President Gustavo Petro, claiming in an X post that tariffs burden American consumers and that Trump “is about to make every American pay even more for coffee.” Her remarks are hideous considering no tariffs were imposed.

Sad Selena: Far-left actress and singer Selena Gomez posted a selfie video of herself crying over mass deportations, claiming she pains for the ‘children’ impacted and her heart hurts for her ‘people.’ She ultimately deleted the video, but you can watch it here.

Jim is Out: Multiple reports confirm that Jim Acosta, a notorious Trump hater, is officially done at CNN. He won’t be missed

J.D. VANCE

Vance’s Vow: Vice President Vance visited Virginia to assess the ongoing recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene months after the brutal storm hit the region. He emphasized the Trump administration's commitment to supporting Appalachian Americans, stating that they have historically received insufficient federal aid during crises and have notoriously been forgotten over the decades.

CONGRESS

Mount Trumpmore: Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna announced plans to introduce legislation advocating for adding President Trump to Mount Rushmore, joining George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and Theodore Roosevelt.

CONFIRMED: Scott Bessent was confirmed by the Senate for Secretary of Treasury.

Upcoming: Here are upcoming confirmation hearings scheduled in the next few days:

  • Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services: Confirmation hearings are scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, before the Senate Finance Committee, and another on Thursday, January 30, before the Senate Health Committee.

  • Kash Patel for FBI Director: A confirmation hearing is set for Thursday, January 30, at 9:30 AM.

  • Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence: Her confirmation hearing is scheduled for Thursday, January 30, at 10:00 AM.

Doral Meeting: House Republicans convened in South Florida at Trump National Doral for their annual issues conference. President Donald Trump addressed lawmakers to shape the GOP agenda for the next two years.
