Job Surge, Russia’s Response, and Saving South Africa
Today is Day 48 of Trump's presidency...
TODAY’S BIG STORY…
President Donald Trump addressed reporters in the Oval Office following the release of February's jobs report, marking his first full month back in office.
According to CNBC, nonfarm payrolls rose by a seasonally adjusted 151,000, surpassing January’s revised 125,000. The Bureau of Labor Statistics noted a decline of 10,000 federal government jobs while overall government payrolls grew by 11,000.
Trump’s Rapid Response 47 team highlighted that foreign-born workers outpaced native-born job growth under Biden, but Trump is reversing the trend. In the last month, 284K native-born workers gained jobs while 87K foreign-born lost jobs. 367K native-born entered the workforce, while 66K foreign-born exited.
The team also posted: “Under the final two years of Biden, one in every four jobs created in America was a government job… But under the first full month of President Trump, an incredible 93% of all job gains were in the private sector.”
Additionally, EPA administrator Lee Zeldin announced, “Today’s jobs report shows the auto industry GAINED 9,000 new jobs in February!”
AND HERE’S ANOTHER BIG STORY…
President Trump is fast-tracking U.S. citizenship for select South African farmers, calling their treatment “terrible.” In a Truth Social post, he condemned land confiscations and violence targeted against white Afrikaner farmers. Last month, he signed an executive order halting federal aid to South Africa over property laws he claims racially discriminate against white farmers.
Additionally, President Trump said Friday that he is "strongly considering" sanctions and tariffs on Russia until it agrees to a ceasefire and peace deal to end its three-year war with Ukraine. In another Truth Social post, he cited Russia’s intense attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities, stating he may impose "large-scale banking sanctions and tariffs" until a settlement is reached.
Trump wrote: "To Russia and Ukraine, get to the table right now, before it is too late."
POTUS: "During the last year, the Biden administration saw a loss of more than 110K manufacturing jobs or 9K manufacturing jobs every single month -- During the first full month in office, we've not only stopped the manufacturing collapse, but we've begun to rapidly reverse it… x.com/i/web/status/1…

MY OPINION…
From Denny: The jobs report is a great start! It’s good to see more native-born Americans receiving employment opportunities than foreign-born or illegal aliens. Hopefully, these numbers will continue to increase rapidly to benefit the true American workforce, and employers will be discouraged from pulling cheap tricks by hiring cheap labor. Someone guilty of this practice is AOC and her hiring of an illegal alien as her Deputy Communication Director, who just self-deported (see The Resistance section).
I also think it’s great we’re helping out white citizens in South Africa who are facing racial discrimination and violence by black majority political parties seeking to exterminate the white race from the country. Trump is stepping up when other international leaders sit on the sidelines as South African farmers live in fear of pillaging. As for sanctions on Russia, our poll today asks how you feel about Trump’s latest tactic to expedite the end of the Ukraine war.
Trump is stepping up for white South Africans when no one else around the world will. If it was the other way around the global outcry would be deafening. Glad Trump is a leader who takes action.

THE ADMINISTRATION…
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirmed President Trump will also use sanctions on Iran to cripple their Islamic regime.
The Trump administration is cracking down on universities allowing antisemitic violence and pro-Hamas riots. The U.S. Department of Education announced it is pulling over $400 million in federal grants from Columbia University, warning that more cuts could follow as Columbia currently receives over $5 billion in federal funding.
The State Department revoked a student's visa for participating in pro-Hamas protests, following President Trump’s directive to cancel visas of students in anti-Israel campus demonstrations. Officials confirmed the action but did not disclose the student's identity due to legal constraints.
Trump’s State Department has issued a warning against traveling to Turks and Caicos, labeling the island country with a Level 2 Advisory due to rising crime.
DHS has caught two insiders leaking ICE raid details, as announced by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. A raid targeting Tren de Aragua gang members in Aurora, Colorado, was sabotaged by leaks, angering Border Czar Tom Homan. Noem confirmed the leakers would face prosecution and likely up to 10 years in federal prison for endangering law enforcement.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a memo warning hospitals against "dangerous chemical and surgical mutilation of children," including sterilization procedures. The agency reaffirmed its commitment to aligning with President Trump’s policies and emphasized hospitals must uphold the highest standard of care.
FEMA fired three more employees linked to a supervisor’s directive to avoid Trump-supporting homes in Florida relief efforts.
The DOJ is investigating the surge in egg prices, probing whether producers colluded to inflate costs by restricting supply.
Eric Trump announced that the Trump Organization had filed a major lawsuit against Capital One for unjustifiable targeting. The bank informed Trump and other plaintiffs that hundreds of their accounts would be closed without offering any recourse. The accounts, holding millions of dollars, were linked to the Trump Organization and its entities.
Donald Trump Jr. lashed out at a Mediaite reporter when asked about a 2028 presidential run. Despite his strong denial of those rumors, the outlet ran the headline: “Donald Trump Jr. Considering a Run For President in 2028,” prompting Don Jr. to ask the reporter: “Are you f*ing retarded?”
Elon Musk’s Starship—designed for future Mars missions—failed again when its upper stage exploded in space, disrupting flights from Florida to Pennsylvania. The 403-foot rocket, the most powerful ever built, lost control after engine failures and then broke apart, as seen in videos on X.
The jobs report looks promising. Do you think we can see a job market boom by the summer?

VICE PRESIDENT…
JD Vance might be visiting his home state of Ohio this weekend. Roads near his Cincinnati home will be closed off this weekend by security detail and law enforcement, sparking speculation about his visit.
The timing coincides with his brother Cory Bowman’s mayoral campaign launch in Cincinnati, which could possibly be the reason for Vance’s visit.
CONGRESS…
Dozens of conservative leaders are urging Congress to support a clean continuing resolution (CR) to prevent a government shutdown.
Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) mocked Democratic “resistance” to Trump’s return and urged them not to support a government shutdown. Posting on X, he advised, “Never, never, never vote for a shutdown—ever.” With a March 14 deadline approaching, Democratic votes may be needed to keep the government running.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) claimed that Trump’s tariff threats harm Kentucky industries and raise costs for homes and cars. Speaking to CNN Thursday, he pledged to keep opposing tariffs.
Senate Judiciary Democrats filed a complaint against D.C. U.S. Attorney Ed Martin, accusing him of dropping charges against his own clients and using prosecution threats to intimidate employees. In a letter to the D.C. Office of Disciplinary Counsel, they urged an investigation into potential ethics violations.
The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) backed Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) after his censure for protesting Trump’s joint address. CBC Chair Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.) peddled the narrative of GOP efforts to cut Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security while granting tax breaks to billionaires during her defense of Green’s actions during President Trump’s speech to Congress.
THE RESISTANCE…
Former Vice President Kamala Harris is seriously considering a run for California governor and has set a summer deadline to decide. At a pre-Oscars party, she reportedly told attendees she would make her decision by then. In recent calls to allies, Harris confirmed she will decide within months. A gubernatorial bid would likely rule out a 2028 presidential run.
Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger is urging Elon Musk and DOGE to investigate whether government actors have turned the site into a "woke propaganda machine." He wants answers on possible infiltration of the online encyclopedia he co-founded over 20 years ago.
An NYT report claimed Secretary of State Marco Rubio clashed with Elon Musk during a Cabinet meeting with President Trump. According to the report, Musk criticized Rubio for not cutting State Department staff and dismissed him as “only good on TV.” Rubio pushed back, arguing Musk was misrepresenting facts. As tensions escalated, according to the report, Trump intervened and ended the dispute. However, Trump later on disputed the report, stating there was no clash.
Sunny Hostin warned on ABC’s "The View" that Trump’s second term poses an "existential crisis" and urged Democrats to be willing to "fight and die."
Former Archdiocese priest Jorge Antonio Velez-Lopez, 69, a Colombian national, has been stripped of U.S. citizenship and ordered deported after confessing to sexually abusing a child from 2003 to 2009 while serving as the victim’s priest. Velez-Lopez, who entered the U.S. in 2003 as a religious worker, was sentenced to one year for passport fraud following an ICE investigation.
The blue state of New Jersey may be turning purple, according to Scott Presler, founder of Early Vote Action. Speaking on The Ingraham Angle, Presler declared, "New Jersey is in play” due to recent election results that have energized conservatives. His group is actively registering Republican voters to boost GOP gains in the traditionally Democratic state.
Diego de la Vega, a former AOC aide and illegal alien, has self-deported to Colombia, praising its "freedom of movement." Born in Ecuador, he overstayed a U.S. visa after arriving in 2001 at age 7. His employment in AOC’s office raises legal questions.

Gene Hackman lived with his late wife’s body for a week before passing from heart complications and Alzheimer’s, officials revealed. Betsy Arakawa died of Hantavirus, a rare rodent-linked disease. Hackman, suffering from late-stage Alzheimer’s, died about a week later from cardiovascular disease.
California-based Choshiya Honten Ltd. recalled several pre-cut Japanese pickles due to possible Clostridium botulinum contamination, which can cause botulism, a potentially fatal illness. The affected products were sold at Tokyo Central/Marukai stores in several California cities. Travel influencer Garrett Bruno, 33, was found dead in a Mount Dora, Florida residence just six months after a fatal crash that left an elderly woman dead and him facing second-degree murder charges. In October 2024, Bruno allegedly T-boned 83-year-old Esther Abouab's SUV in West Hollywood, killing her instantly. He was hospitalized in a coma but later released and caught in further controversy after being photographed snorting drugs. Authorities confirmed his death but have not disclosed the cause. At the time, he was out on bail, awaiting trial in a case that gained attention due to his 61,000-follower travel account, Garrett Travels, and the high-profile nature of the crash.
