Today’s Big Story…

On Easter Sunday, President Trump slammed his opposition with a fiery rant, calling Joe Biden a “highly destructive moron” and lambasting “weak and ineffective” judges. He blamed the 82-year-old president for the border crisis—then wished them all a happy Easter.

“Happy Easter to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The president added: “Sleepy Joe Biden purposefully allowed Millions of CRIMINALS to enter our Country, totally unvetted and unchecked, through an Open Borders Policy that will go down in history as the single most calamitous act ever perpetrated upon America. But to him, and to the person that ran and manipulated the Auto Pen (perhaps our REAL President!), and to all of the people who CHEATED in the 2020 Presidential Election in order to get this highly destructive Moron Elected, I wish you, with great love, sincerity, and affection, a very Happy Easter!!!”

Before these posts, Trump did offer a much softer message of acknowledgment on Easter Sunday: “Melania and I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter! Whether you are heading out to Church or, watching Service from home, may this day be full of Peace and Joy for all who celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. HE IS RISEN!!”

Another Big Story…

Justice Samuel Alito issued a fiery dissent after the Supreme Court blocked President Trump’s deportation of Venezuelan criminals under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.

The early Saturday ruling, backed by Justices Kavanaugh and Barrett, halted removals from Texas’ Bluebonnet Detention Center. Alito criticized the move’s timing as “literally in the middle of the night.”

In response, the Trump administration released mugshots and rap sheets of alleged Tren de Aragua gang members detained in Texas.

My Thoughts…

I will always prefer a Trump Easter message compared to what Biden has given us over the years, such as the example below…

Also, there will be no podcast today due to the shifting over of recording equipment to our home studio, which we will be setting up. This will allow me to be closer with Mary for the next few months as we traverse her illness together. We will return for a LIVE program tomorrow, and I will have plenty to say about SCOTUS’ late-night ruling against Trump’s deportation agenda.

The Administration…

  • Today’s Easter Egg Roll at the White House, hosted by First Lady Melania Trump, comes days after the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s midnight ride and the “Shot Heard ‘Round the World” in Lexington, Massachusetts, which marked the beginning of the Revolutionary War.

  • President Trump suggested that a resolution to U.S.-China tariff hikes and a TikTok deal may be near. He said Chinese officials appear ready to talk and noted further tariffs would only delay progress.

  • Peter Thiel said the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) uncovered left-wing NGOs allegedly serving as fronts for “borderline criminal activity.”

  • President Trump plans to cut another $1 billion in federal health research funding from Harvard, escalating his feud with the university.

  • HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced new studies to explore possible environmental causes of autism, noting the rising rates, including severe cases.

  • Trump border czar Tom Homan slammed Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) for using taxpayer funds to visit Kilmar Abrego Garcia in El Salvador.

Vice President…

JD Vance met Pope Francis on Easter Sunday at the Vatican, a day after Vatican officials discussed U.S. immigration policies with the VP. During the brief visit at Casa Santa Marta, the recovering pontiff gave Vance a tie, rosaries, and chocolate Easter eggs for his children.

Congress…

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) voiced support for the Trump administration’s Supreme Court challenge to birthright citizenship rules, calling it a “fascinating” and “winnable” case. He clarified the case doesn’t eliminate birthright citizenship but focuses on its limits, specifically the 14th Amendment’s phrase “subject to the jurisdiction thereof.”

Rep. Maxine Dexter (D-Ore.) plans to travel to El Salvador to push for the release of deported illegal alien and alleged MS-13 member Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Her trip follows Sen. Chris Van Hollen’s visit to meet Garcia at the CECOT prison.

Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) mocked Sen. Van Hollen by posting a photo of a fake office plaque labeling him as the senator for El Salvador, following Van Hollen’s visit.

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., shared a video of a heated exchange with a voter who confronted her about town halls, ending in mutual insults and profanity. Mace posted the clip on X, calling the voter an “unhinged lunatic” and said she “won’t be backing down.” The two-minute video shows Mace defending her record and accusing the voter of harassment.

The Resistance…

  1. Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, who has long refused to accept deported nationals, is now demanding the return of over 250 alleged Venezuelan gang members recently sent by the U.S. to El Salvador’s CECOT prison. Most are linked to the violent Tren de Aragua gang. Maduro called the deportations a “kidnapping.”

  2. China has rejected U.S. appeals to stop a satellite firm from aiding Iran-backed Houthi rebels targeting Red Sea shipping. State Dept. Spokeswoman Tammy Bruce accused Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co. of directly supporting Houthi attacks on U.S. interests, despite warnings to Beijing.

  3. A federal judge tentatively approved a new White House press policy that strips The Associated Press of special access, placing it on equal footing with newspapers. Judge Trevor McFadden, who earlier ruled the White House had discriminated against AP over its refusal to use the term “Gulf of America,” said the revised policy appears viewpoint-neutral.

  4. Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs vetoed a GOP-backed bill that would have required local police to cooperate with federal immigration authorities and banned sanctuary policies

  5. According to new FEC filings, Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign paid a production company co-founded by LeBron James thousands for a campaign event. The report listed over 1,600 routine disbursements, including ads, travel, and refunds.

  6. DNC Vice Chair David Hogg donated $100,000 to the DCCC after his push for new party leadership angered insiders. Hogg confirmed the donation on X, saying it wasn’t about “playing nice.”

  7. MSNBC's Symone Sanders claimed that deporting Kilmar Abrego-Garcia is a step toward Trump’s administration targeting Black American citizens. She warned that deporting criminal aliens could lead to broader crackdowns on people of color and vulnerable communities.

  8. President Trump’s efforts to fire independent agency leaders are being challenged by a 1935 Supreme Court case, Humphrey’s Executor, which limits presidential control over agencies like the FTC. Trump allies are urging the Court to overturn or weaken the precedent to justify the firings.

  9. Doña Ana County Magistrate Judge Joel Cano resigned from the bench after federal agents arrested a man linked to the Venezuelan TdA gang at Cano’s home, though no official reason was given in his letter.
