Today’s Big Story…

President Trump hosted El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele at the White House, strengthening their alliance and striking a deal on enhancing deportations.

The meeting focused heavily on illegal immigration, with Trump praising Bukele’s role in detaining alleged gang members deported from the U.S. They discussed expanding the use of El Salvador’s mega-prison, CECOT, to house more deportees, including those accused of being part of gangs like MS-13 and Tren de Aragua. Trump expressed enthusiasm for sending additional illegals to CECOT, describing it as a cost-effective solution for U.S. immigration challenges.

Bukele, in turn, reaffirmed his commitment to accepting deportees, noting El Salvador’s financial gain of $6 million for housing them. The deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia to CECOT was discussed, and Bukele refused to return him when asked by the press, calling him a potential terrorist. Trump further suggested exploring the legality of sending U.S. citizen criminals to CECOT, though he acknowledged constitutional hurdles. Trump also lauded Bukele’s “iron-fist” approach as a model for tackling crime.

Another Big Story…

17-year-old Wisconsin teen Nikita Casap has been charged with killing his parents as part of a plot to gain the resources and freedom to assassinate President Trump.

Court documents say he belonged to a satanic cult with anti-Christian and anti-Western beliefs. Investigators uncovered a manifesto calling for Trump’s assassination, bombings, and other attacks. He faces state charges for two counts of first-degree murder and hiding the corpses of his parents, along with federal charges related to the assassination plot.

My Thoughts…

I think the partnership and working relationship with Trump and Bukele is key to facilitating the deportations of the worst of the worst. While I think Trump will have trouble attempting to convince Congress to ship dangerous citizen criminals to CECOT, it’s worth exploring. I would even support the expansion of CECOT to truly strike fear into illegal aliens and criminals as a reminder of where they will end up. I think Nikita Casap should be sent there to set an example.

  • Trump slammed 60 Minutes for biased and misleading coverage. • PETA praised the Trump administration for efforts to end animal testing at the FDA and EPA, saying it helps spare tens of thousands of animals annually. The FDA announced it will phase out animal testing for antibody therapies and other drugs in favor of more effective, human-relevant methods.

  • Victor Martinez-Hernandez was found guilty of murdering Maryland mother Rachel Morin in 2023. The jury convicted him of first-degree murder, rape, a third-degree sex offense, and kidnapping. Responding on Truth Social, Trump called Morin a beautiful mother of five and said her killer was a "monster who should have NEVER been here."

  7. A 45-foot nude statue titled “R-Evolution” was unveiled in San Francisco’s Embarcadero Plaza with lights, music, and performance art. It’s designed to glow and “breathe” as a symbol of strength and compassion. Instead, it’s stirred backlash, memes, and criticism over the city’s priorities.
