Day 70: Woke classrooms are everywhere

On Sundays, 47 Report takes a break from its normal format so that I can delve into a single topic of significance. Today's focus is the incredible amount of wokeness that sickens our kids in classrooms across America.

THE WOKE IN SCHOOLS

Schools Have Gone Off the Deep End, and Our Kids Are Paying the Price

Before I boil your blood, let’s give credit where it’s due: President Trump saw this coming a mile away. He tried to dismantle the Department of Education (DOE), cut funding to woke schools and colleges, and get our kids back to basics—reading, writing, math, and a little common sense. The man knew the feds were pouring gas on the fire of radical indoctrination, and he swung the axe. Problem is, it’s not enough. This fight’s got to go local, because our schools are so rotten with woke insanity that it’ll take years to flush it out, even with a chainsaw to the DOE. Parents, school boards, communities—we’ve all got to step up. The woke in education goes deep, it includes the media, and it’s in your backyard.

Take this for example: a Virginia school—West Springfield High in Fairfax County—put up an "ABCs of Women’s History" display for Women’s History Month. Guess what "A" stands for? Abortion. That’s right, they’re teaching kids the alphabet starts with killing babies, complete with a coat hanger and a pregnancy test on the poster (shown above). This isn’t education; it’s indoctrination, and it’s a slap in the face to every parent who trusts schools to teach their kids the information they need to compete. The woke brigade has hijacked our classrooms, and it’s a disaster.

“A” for Abortion.
The school’s excuse: It’s a “student-led history project” for an elective Women’s History class. The superintendent, Michelle Reid, doubled down when a furious mom called it “obscene” in an email. Reid didn’t budge—said the display stays up, no apologies. She’s backing this garbage like it’s some noble cause. Meanwhile, parents are citing Trump’s executive order against radical indoctrination. Too bad Reid doesn’t care. This is what happens when you let activists run the show, and it’s why top-down fixes alone won’t cut it—these people are dug in like ticks.

Part of the school’s display.

More letters, more woke.
The display, shown above, also includes the following:

 M is for Mansplain.
For those of you who do not know what that means: "Mansplain" is a woke-based slang term that combines "man" and "explain." It refers to a situation where a man explains something to a woman in a way that is perceived as condescending, patronizing, or overly simplistic, often assuming the female lacks knowledge on the subject—regardless of whether that's true. The term is usually used critically to highlight gender dynamics, suggesting the man is overstepping or dismissing the woman's expertise or perspective.

→ O is for Objectification.
"Objectification" is a word for the woke — it refers to the act of treating a woman as an object or a thing, rather than as a full human being with agency, emotions, and worth. It’s often used to suggest that women are reduced to their physical appearance, sexual appeal, or utility, stripping away their individuality and humanity.

→ P is for Persecution. Q is for Queer. R is for Rosa Parks. T is for Trans Women…. Has this made you sick yet?

Let’s talk numbers.
Problem #1: Teachers today are overwhelmingly liberal—especially in health, history, and science, where the brainwashing hits hardest. Research from Verdant Labs shows 99% of health teachers are Democrats. History? 97% lean left. Science isn’t much better—still skewed liberal. Overall, high school teachers clock in at 87% Democrat. These aren’t educators; they’re activists with chalkboards, pushing agendas on our kids. And who’s got their back? The radical teachers’ unions—like the National Education Association—shoving radical policies down our throats while shielding these ideologues from accountability.

The problem they ignore:T” should stand for Teen Pregnancy.
The U.S. has a teen birth rate of 16.7 per 1,000 girls aged 15-19, per the CDC. Compare that to Japan at 3.4, or Switzerland at 2.6. We’re a laughingstock among civilized nations. Why? Because schools here aren’t teaching safe sex—they’re too busy preaching woke gospel. Forget abstinence, contraception, or responsibility. God? Faith? Family values? Out the window. Instead, we get "A for Abortion" and a pat on the back for "self-expression." Comprehensive sex ed could cut teen births—studies show it drops rates by 3% or more—but schools won’t touch it if it means mentioning morality or a higher power. Teaching ‘Family Values’ in public school is almost as forbidden as mentioning Jesus. But then again, it’s near impossible to imagine a liberal teacher with pink hair and eyelid tattoos teaching our kids about conservative family values. Instead, school teachers are teaching young girls that divorce and fatherless homes are the norm —so best to avoid it all by having an abortion, being gay, and staying anti-family. Crazy stuff!

What do Japan and Switzerland do differently?
They’ve got their heads on straight. Japan’s teen pregnancy rate is low because sex ed starts early, it’s practical, and it’s backed by a culture that doesn’t mess around with shame—out-of-wedlock births are taboo, and kids know it. Abortion’s legal, but the stigma keeps teens in line, and contraception like condoms is everywhere. Switzerland? Free family planning, mandatory sex ed that’s no-nonsense, and emergency contraception you can grab without a hassle. Teens there are expected to use it—no excuses. The U.S.? Patchy sex ed, woke teachers who’d rather talk feelings than facts, and a culture that shrugs at teen moms on reality TV. Our schools coddle instead of educate—big difference.

It gets worse.
Teachers are now yapping about their own sex lives in class—especially the LGBTQ crowd. I’ve heard stories that’ll make your jaw drop. One teacher in California bragged to middle schoolers about her "queer journey." Another in Oregon turned history into a seminar on his trans identity. This isn’t teaching; it’s grooming. Kids don’t need to know who their teacher is sleeping with—they need to learn math. But the woke cult says it’s "representation." I say it’s insanity.

Look at the fallout. Back in 2000, about 2% of teens identified as gay or bisexual, per Gallup. Today? Try 20% of Gen Z, with 2.5% claiming they’re trans, according to UCLA’s Williams Institute. That’s a tenfold jump in two decades! You think that’s organic? No way. It’s what happens when schools ditch sanity for rainbow flags and gender-bender story time. Teachers aren’t just tolerating this—they’re cheerleading it, and the stats prove it’s warping young minds.

The abortion obsession.
The U.S. clocks 930,000 abortions a year, per Guttmacher Institute data. Compare that to Canada—94,000 with a quarter of our population—or Germany, at 100,000 with a fifth. Adjusted for size, we’re slaughtering babies at triple their rates. And the Department of Education? Complicit. Before Trump took back the Oval Office, programs like the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program (TPP) got $101 million in 2023, some funneled to Planned Parenthood cronies pushing abortion as "healthcare." Not a dime for faith-based options or family values—just more woke propaganda.

The evil connections.
The teachers’ unions and the DOE have been in bed together, turning schools into leftist boot camps. The National Education Association’s resolutions cheer CRT and LGBTQ agendas while fighting parents who dare question this garbage. They don’t care about kids—they care about power. And the lefty media? Silent as a graveyard. Radical outlets who champion for the killing of the unborn — think CNN, NY Times, and MSNBC — won’t touch this “A for Abortion” story—no pushback, no outrage, just crickets. They’re too busy fawning over the latest “progressive” cause to rid of Trump or defacing a Tesla instead of reporting the truth about what’s happening in our schools. It’s a one-sided echo chamber, and parents are left in the dark.

Our kids?
They are the real victims — they are the guinea pigs in this sick woke experiment, drowning in identity politics instead of learning how to live decent, productive lives. They are learning how to kill the unborn instead of learning math, science, engineering, and technology. Ever wonder why kids today no longer want to be doctors or lawyers — they want to be YouTube stars and activists. They know how to use an iPhone like a pro, but they don’t know how to write their own name on a document. Ask a 14-year-old to fill out an envelope or write out a check payable to themselves — totally clueless.

We’ve got to fight back. Pull your kids out of these schools, demand vouchers, or run for school board. This isn’t about education anymore—it’s about saving the next generation from a system that’s lost its mind. "A for Abortion"? How about "A for Abomination"? That’s what this is.

Trump can’t fix this on his own. Our schools are woke, our kids are the casualties, and we are the last defense.

AN INTERESTING NEWS COMPANY
You ever hear of Puck News? I didn’t until recently, so when the offer to partner with them for today’s publication came in, I decided to take a look. In 2021, the company reportedly received $7 million in funding. Reportedly, they have tens of thousands of subscribers. What I find super interesting and unique is this: Puck journalists are allegedly given equity in the company. Translation: They have skin in the game! I like this model because I believe it forces a reporter / writer to be honest with their audience. Give Puck a look today, and I’ll see you tomorrow on the 47 Report.
