Day 64
Today’s Big Story…
The Trump administration will revoke the legal status of over 500,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela who entered the U.S. under Biden’s CHNV program.
Starting in late April, their work permits and deportation protections will end, with officials urging self-deportation or face removal. The policy, paused after President Donald Trump took office, aimed to reduce illegal border crossings by offering legal pathways, though it’s unclear how many migrants have secured alternate legal status.
Elon Musk commented on the controversial program, writing on X: “The goal of the Biden administration was to strategically place illegals in swing states and make their status legal, thereby turning swing states Democrat. The net result would have been permanent one-party rule of the USA, just like what they did in California.”
Another Big Story…
Over the weekend, President Trump received a roaring welcome at the NCAA Men’s Wrestling Championship in Philadelphia. The crowd gave him a standing ovation as he entered Wells Fargo Arena, waving from the floor. ESPN even cut away from an interview to show his entrance as chants of “U-S-A” filled the arena.
Several Trump allies had front-row seats at the event, including Elon Musk, Clay Travis, Karoline Leavitt, Linda McMahon, Rep. Jim Jordan, Sen. Dave McCormick, and McCormick’s wife.
ALSO: President Trump finally weighed in on the newly released JFK assassination files, telling OutKick’s Travis he believes Lee Harvey Oswald killed President Kennedy—and didn’t act alone. He was responding to questions from Travis about the thousands of assassination-related documents now made public when he confirmed that he believes Oswald was “helped.”
Trump acknowledged the 80,000 JFK files didn’t confirm his belief that Oswald had help, calling the documents “somewhat unspectacular”—which he said “may be a good thing.” He added there's nothing “earth-shattering” and that people can draw their own conclusions. However, some people believe Oswald received assistance from the U.S. government, the Mafia, the CIA, the Cuban government, the KBG, or other powerful entities.
My Thoughts…
It’s incredible the Trump administration is dismantling the CHNV program, another nationwide mistake by the former Biden administration. With more than two months into office so far, Trump and his team are working diligently to return power to the American worker. Removing the CHNV program will ensure jobs and opportunities aren’t going to unvetted migrants from third-world nations. The release of the JFK files, while maybe uneventful, is another example of the Trump administration’s pursuit of transparency for the American people.

Trump issued a warning over the weekend, condemning radical judges for trying to block his actions and undermine his presidential authority.
President Trump vowed to investigate the vandalism at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Wichita, Kansas, where a Satanic website was scrawled on the wall. His pledge, along with the launch of the new Anti-Christian Weaponization Task Force, signals a clear warning to those behind the nearly 500 attacks on Catholic churches since 2020.
The Justice Department has moved to replace President Trump as a defendant in civil lawsuits filed by a Democratic lawmaker and police officers over the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. In a filing, the DOJ told U.S. District Judge Amit P. Mehta that it should be substituted for Trump under the Federal Tort Claims Act, asserting he was acting within his official duties.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will visit several Central American sites next week, including El Salvador's Terrorism Confinement Center, known for housing hundreds of deported illegal alien criminals.
National security adviser Mike Waltz said on CBS’s Face the Nation that Trump is committed to the “full dismantlement” of Iran’s nuclear program.
The Navy announced that the USS Spruance, a guided-missile destroyer, has been deployed from San Diego to support maritime efforts at the southern border. The mission aims to help curb illegal immigration and drug smuggling.
U.S. copper demand is expected to double in the next decade, but current production falls short. To address this, President Trump signed an executive order to boost domestic mineral production and ease restrictions on new mines.

Republicans on Capitol Hill are entering a critical three-week window to push forward President Trump’s ambitious tax agenda, aiming to pass a compromise budget resolution in the House by the end of the stretch to stay on track with their fast-paced timeline.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said he won’t step down despite backlash over his vote to advance a GOP funding bill that helped prevent a government shutdown. Speaking on NBC’s Meet The Press, Schumer acknowledged the controversy but stood by his decision.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) nearly walked out of an interview on ABC’s This Week when asked if Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez might join him in the Senate. As co-anchor Jonathan Karl posed the question, Sanders moved off-camera, clearly unhappy with the topic.
Former Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) recently appeared on CNN, where he referred to President Trump's top adviser, Elon Musk, as a "Nazi" and a "thief." Musk will now be filing a lawsuit against Bowman.
The Resistance…
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz walked back his joke about Tesla stock dropping due to Elon Musk’s role in Trump’s DOGE task force, saying he was “just being a smart-a–” after facing backlash.
Anti-Elon Musk activists are urging Uber users to give Tesla drivers 1-star ratings, claiming, “This is what Tesla drivers deserve.” Elon Musk responded, calling it “just plain cruel.”
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie warned on ABC’s This Week that if Trump keeps calling for judges to be impeached, he could alienate the Supreme Court. Christie noted that while Chief Justice Roberts often aligns with Trump on executive power, such remarks could cost him future rulings.
Former comedian and election denier Rosie O’Donnell, now living in Ireland, appeared on Irish TV’s The Late Late Show, claiming Elon Musk “stole” the 2024 election for Trump. It was her first TV appearance since relocating, where she pushed a sweeping conspiracy theory about the U.S. election.
With a dismal $43 million opening, Snow White now holds the record for the lowest debut of any Disney live-action remake. The film stars Rachel Zegler, a vocal Trump critic, whose casting sparked controversy over woke ideology.
Federal agencies have seen soaring spending in recent years despite shrinking workforces, according to OpenTheBooks. The Department of Commerce, for example, increased its annual spending from $13.1 million in 2021 to $20.5 million in 2024, while its workforce fell from nearly 54,000 in 2020 to under 48,000 in 2024.
Mayor Eric Adams told Jewish leaders in a closed-door meeting that an antisemitic candidate is running for City Hall, alluding to state Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Socialist. The remarks came during a discussion with the Jewish Community Relations Council about security for the upcoming Salute to Israel Parade.
In Other News…
Although we deliver you domestic and international news later this afternoon via the DML REPORT newsletter, here are a few worth mentioning now:
Last month, Gov. Ron DeSantis launched the Florida State DOGE Task Force to cut government waste, increase accountability, and save taxpayer money. The task force aims to eliminate bureaucracy, review state agencies and colleges, audit local governments, and return unused federal funds. Just a month in, Florida is already refunding over $878 million to the U.S. Treasury.
Eagle Pass police apprehended two Guatemalan men who illegally crossed the Rio Grande using underwater propulsion devices and full-length wetsuits. A Texas resident spotted the pair and alerted authorities, who found them hiding under a bridge in a south Eagle Pass neighborhood.
Former U.S. Attorney Jessica Aber, 43, was found dead this weekend at a home in Alexandria, Virginia. Police responded to a call about an unresponsive woman at 9:18 a.m. and discovered Aber deceased at the scene. It’s unclear who called authorities or what caused her death. She tackled crimes on terrorism, white-collar crime, gang violence, and leaks of classified information.
Your Opinions & Questions…
Williford: “Admittedly, I like DeSantis and am thankful for how he leads FL and continues to be a great example for the other 49 Governors. (I’m not a FL resident.). Thank you so much for this amazing newsletter.”
47 Report: Thank you for your support! DeSantis has been a tremendous blessing to Florida with his governorship. We genuinely hope to see him maybe run for the Oval Office again one day, or perhaps take the mantle of Vance’s running mate in 2028.
