TODAY’S BIG STORY…

President Trump is holding Venezuela accountable for failing to enhance efforts in assisting with deporting illegal aliens back to the socialist country.

The president announced he is revoking a Biden-era license allowing Chevron to produce oil in Venezuela. This marks a shift from the administration’s recent engagement with socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro and deals a blow to Chevron, which was granted an exemption from U.S. sanctions in 2022.

Trump stated on Truth Social that the license would be canceled effective March 1. Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted on X that all Biden-era oil and gas licenses benefiting Maduro’s regime would also be revoked.

This also aligns with Donald Trump Jr.'s recent recording of a podcast interview with Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who has been in hiding since challenging Maduro’s disputed re-election last year.

AND HERE’S ANOTHER BIG STORY…

The first inner strife between departments has detonated: The DOJ vs. The FBI.

Attorney General Pam Bondi accused investigators under FBI Director Kash Patel of withholding thousands of Jeffrey Epstein case files in a fiery letter last night. She claimed federal investigators in New York provided only 200 pages, far fewer than those released in a civil lawsuit linked to Ghislaine Maxwell. Bondi had requested the entire case file for release before Patel's confirmation and vowed to publicize the documents.

The Epstein files were widely expected to be released in its entirety this week, but political grandstanding in different agencies has delayed the release, such as the FBI’s office in New York refusing to cooperate with Bondi’s DOJ staff. A few social media influencers on X were given accessible binders titled The Epstein Files: Phase 1, but its contents primarily comprised previously known information. Bondi’s department later published the non-bombshell documents Thursday evening.

There has also not been any update on the release date timeline for the files on the assassinations of JFK, RFK, and MLK as internet fervor increases over the release of all these secret files, as well as online criticism directed toward some of the influencers who were given Phase 1 binder.

MY OPINION…

Trump is doing all he can do to rid of the illegals, and I appreciate it. He has to put on pressure, otherwise he will not be respected. As for the Epstein files, there is no way we ever see the full list. Too many powerful people have done all they need to do to keep it from us. It was a nice thought, but the coverup teams are always way ahead of the good guys.

NOTE: Every decade or so, I slip up in my reporting. Yesterday, a brief entry in The Resistance section was miswritten. While removing a link due to restrictions, I accidentally cut the intro content, altering the message entirely. I failed to double-check before sending. Sorry for the error. It won’t happen again until 2035.

THE ADMINISTRATION…

  • British Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with President Trump at the White House to discuss ending the Russia-Ukraine war. He delivered a letter from King Charles III inviting Trump for a second State Visit. Trump and First Lady Melania previously visited the U.K. in June 2019, hosted by Queen Elizabeth.

  • Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is visiting the White House today. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirmed that Zelensky will sign a strategic economic partnership to exchange rare earth minerals for support, benefiting U.S. taxpayers and Ukrainians.

  • President Trump nominated Hung Cao for Under Secretary of the Navy. A former Senate candidate, Cao is a former refugee who built a distinguished military career, including service as a Special Operations Officer.

  • Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced plans to hire more air-traffic controllers and invest billions in aviation upgrades. The FAA will raise pay for academy students in Oklahoma City by 30% to $22.84 an hour and streamline hiring, cutting training time by over four months.

  • Elon Musk also urged retired air traffic controllers to return to work if they could so to help fill the shortage.

  • DOGE canceled $74M for “inclusive justice” in Colombia, $79M for “primary literacy” in Kenya, and $37M for “female empowerment” in Colombia.

  • HUD scrapped Obama-era housing regulations, which Secretary Scott Turner called “extreme and restrictive.” President Trump previously rescinded the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) rule, arguing it undermined single-family zoning and devalued homes for the benefit of bureaucrats.

  • ICE has contracted a 1,000-bed migrant holding center in Newark, New Jersey, set to be the East Coast’s largest facility. Delaney Hall, next to Essex County jail, will be the first major deportation center under the Trump administration.

  • Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin signed an executive order authorizing state law enforcement to help federal authorities combat illegal immigration.

  • DNI Tulsi Gabbard revealed the Biden administration ignored explicit and unprofessional chatter on intelligence agency message boards for years. Whistleblowers from the NSA reported the issue but were dismissed by Biden officials.

  • A Pentagon memo confirmed transgender service members or those with gender dysphoria are barred from military service without an exemption. Revealed in a court filing, the Trump administration's policy allows case-by-case waivers if a "compelling Government interest" is met.

  • Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker met with President Trump in the Oval Office, months after endorsing him for the 2024 election. A White House official called it a meeting of the "GOAT of kicking" and the "GOAT of presidents."

  • President Trump doubled down in a Truth Social post that tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and China will continue and referenced their failure to stop the illegal drug and fentanyl flow into the U.S.

VICE PRESIDENT…

JD Vance confronted British PM Keir Starmer in the Oval Office over free speech concerns.

At the Munich Security Conference, Vance had sparked controversy by warning of Europe’s retreat from fundamental values. When reporters pressed about his comments, he stood by his remarks, dismissing Starmer’s defense of the UK’s commitment to free speech as he sat beside him.

CONGRESS…

The Senate voted 51-47 to advance Linda McMahon's confirmation as Secretary of Education. She has pledged to dismantle the department upon taking office.

Senate Republicans blocked a Democratic effort to condemn the Trump administration for voting against a UN resolution blaming Russia for the Ukraine war. Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) sought unanimous consent to pass the measure, but Republicans objected.

Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) will deliver the Democratic response to President Trump’s congressional address, Senate and House Minority Leaders Schumer and Jeffries announced this week. The newly elected senator represents a state Trump flipped in 2024.

Rep. Jeffries (D-N.Y.) also accused Republicans of lying and misleading Americans about Medicaid, claiming their plan would strip health benefits despite GOP assurances.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is urging X CEO Linda Yaccarino to recover over 24,000 deleted posts from Trump’s FHFA nominee, William Pulte.

House lawmakers will examine FEMA amid President Trump’s suggestion to eliminate the agency. Rep. Dale Strong (R-AL) announced a March 4 hearing to assess FEMA’s spending as it faces growing criticism.

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) plans to arrange a meeting between Elon Musk and House Republicans. He hopes Musk will demonstrate the positive impact of upcoming federal changes to lawmakers and told reporters to "stay tuned" for the meeting details.

THE RESISTANCE…

A federal judge in San Francisco ruled that mass firings of probationary federal employees were likely unlawful, granting temporary relief to labor unions. Judge William Alsup ordered the Office of Personnel Management to inform agencies, including the DoD, that it lacked authority to mandate the dismissals.

California Governor Gavin Newsom faced swaths of backlash on social media after announcing his new podcast. He claimed he would uncover “what’s really going on inside of DOGE” and investigate the MAGA movement, prompting users to urge him to focus on his own state.

Former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre criticized the media and Democrats for their reaction to Joe Biden’s poor debate performance against President Trump in June. Speaking at Harvard’s Kennedy School, she equated the experience like “it was a firing squad, and I had never seen anything like it before.”

Joy Behar went on a rant during The View about Elon Musk, calling him "pro-apartheid,” a “foreign agent," and an "enemy of the United States.”

Transgender rights activists stormed the Iowa State Capitol as lawmakers debated a bill to remove gender identity from protected class status.

A recent Gallup survey shows Americans' trust in mass media has hit a 50-year low. In 2024, 59% of Republicans reported having no trust in the media to report news fairly. Younger generations also express declining trust.

Economist Harry Dent claimed the U.S. economy could face recession if Trump’s immigration policies take a disruptive turn, arguing mass deportations would significantly impact the workforce and economy.

IN NON-TRUMP NEWS…

Although we will deliver you domestic and international news later this afternoon via the DML REPORT newsletter, here are a few worth mentioning now:

  1. Mel Gibson criticized Gov. Newsom and L.A. Mayor Karen Bass for mishandling the Palisades and Eaton fires. Speaking at a Saving California event in Altadena, he backed efforts to recall Newsom, calling the disaster “gross mismanagement” and saying, “We deserve much better.”

  2. South Korea's birth rate rose in 2024 for the first time in nine years, driven by a surge in marriages, while Japan hit a record-low birth rate, continuing its population decline. Statistics Korea reported Wednesday that births per 1,000 people increased to 4.7, with the fertility rate rising from 0.72 to 0.75. Total births grew by 238,000, a 3.6% increase.

  3. A car-ramming attack at an Israeli bus stop injured 13 people, including a critically wounded 17-year-old girl, near Karkur Junction east of Caesarea. Israel Police spokesperson Aryeh Doron said the driver hit the bus stop, then continued for several hundred meters, ramming into an officer and his vehicle. Video footage captures when the driver veered off the road into waiting passengers.

Judy Davis: The newsletter was really full of good stuff today. Meghan Kelly with her illness, I have to agree, my heart was fine until I had 3 COVID shots. I had long COVID for over six weeks with every symptom, but I refused the hospital. I had brain fog, coughing, and terrible fatigue for 3 years until it was discovered out of no where I needed an Aortic Valve Replacement. Very suspicious.”

DML REPLY: The jab was the biggest scam in human history.

Question: Did Obama really get a commission on Obamacare?

DML REPLY: No. It was a far-left hoax to get conservatives on Twitter to fall for it. A few did. We were linking to show how, and I removed the link on accident.
