TRUMP LANDS JAPAN

President Trump welcomed Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba to the White House Friday for talks on military cooperation, investment, technology, and energy. At their joint press conference, which the media dubbed a “high-stakes visit,” Ishiba conveyed Japan’s desire to strengthen ties and seek assurance on trade and security commitments with the U.S.

Trump and Japan’s Prime Minister announced that Japan’s Nippon Steel would invest in Pennsylvania-based U.S. Steel instead of pursuing a full purchase. Biden blocked the $15 billion sale in his final months following a U.S. investment panel’s recommendation. Trump also opposed the deal, insisting U.S. Steel remain American-owned.

Ishiba then also announced that he intends to “elevate Japan’s investment in the United States to an unprecedented amount of $1 trillion” now that President Trump is back in the Oval Office.

ALSO…

One of the DOGE team members, Marko Elez, 25, resigned following a journalist’s article in the Wall Street Journal that exposed Elez’s old tweets.

Elez, a DOGE lieutenant with professional ties to Musk, is overseeing the Treasury Department audit. His old tweets included calls to "normalize Indian hate", and support for a "eugenic immigration policy." He also tweeted, “You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity.”

Despite his resignation, Elon Musk announced plans to bring Elez back, citing the philosophy, "To err is human, to forgive divine." Elez also received support from Trump and J.D. Vance.

To further DOGE’s challenges, U.S. District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer — an Obama appointee — placed an order early Saturday morning to temporarily restrict access by DOGE to the Treasury Department’s payment and data systems, saying there was a risk of “irreparable harm.”

The order came in response to a lawsuit filed by 19 attorneys general accusing the president of failing to faithfully execute the nation’s laws when he let DOGE comb through federal computer systems.

My Opinion

I think the mainstream media is bought and paid for by the DC elitists who use it to receive favorable press, and to publish unfavorable articles intended to destroy their political enemies. I have watched this play out my entire career.

To support my claim, consider how USAID dished out millions of dollars to the far-left news outlet, Politico. Reports indicate the payments were never disclosed by Politico, and many people are claiming the money bought the agency favorable press for years.

It comes as no shock that media outlets are working around the clock to discredit the members of DOGE. How can they not — the Musk-led group is uncovering what I deem to be the largest financial crime ever carried out against the American taxpayers. With no chance of stopping DOGE from uncovering D.C.’s corruption, the only option for elitists is to instruct their media puppets to disparage the auditors. It is a futile attempt; it will NOT sway pissed-off taxpayers to hate on DOGE. Let me ask what concerns you more: Discovering the politically incorrect tweets written by a DOGE auditor, or discovering who led the charge in laundering your hard earned money to foreign countries in an attempt to promote leftist agendas? I think I know your answer.

As for the judge’s ridiculous early morning ruling, he’s the latest lefty judge to use the bench in a political grandstand to stop the MAGA movement. Not only will he fail long term, but his legacy will be written as an anti-American leftist who attempted to block the will and wishes of the American voters. We voted and won for Trump, we voted and won for smaller government, and we voted for the corruption to stop. I say DOGE begins a new division where they look into these radical judges, I bet they find a ton of bad stuff.

THE CRAZY LEFT

TIME magazine took a swipe at Trump by featuring Elon Musk at the Oval Office's Resolute Desk on its latest cover. The accompanying article, "Inside Elon Musk’s War on Washington," criticized Musk’s and DOGE’s effort to cut wasteful spending.

California and its school athletics association refuse to follow Trump’s executive order banning trans athletes from girls' sports, vowing to uphold state law allowing participation based on gender identity.

A 2024 study by the White Coat Waste Project revealed $10 million in taxpayer funds were spent on creating transgender animals. At a subcommittee hearing, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) condemned the funding of “gender-affirming care” for animals, with testimony from the study’s authors.

Washington State Attorney General Nick Brown, along with other states, filed lawsuits against a Trump administration executive order that threatens to cut federal funding for gender-affirming care.

Washington State Senate Majority Leader, Democrat Jamie Pedersen sparked controversy over a proposed policy change to grant children over the age of 13 the autonomy to make decisions about their mental health care independently, without the need for parental consent or notification.

California Governor, Gavin Newsom, just two days after asking Trump for disaster aid, signed legislation Friday that authorized $50 million in state funds intended to counter Trump’s agenda. Half of the money was dedicated to protect illegal aliens facing deportations, and the other half will cover litigation costs as the radical state looks to challenge Trump in court.

DNC Vice Chairman David Hogg criticized Elon Musk’s efforts to reform Washington, calling for his removal. Sharing a photo of former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Hogg demanded, “Fire Elon Musk and bring him back now.”

A radical federal judge issued a limited order protecting 2,200 USAID employees from leave or relocation.

Seven transgenders sued Trump and the State Department in federal court Friday, claiming a Trump policy that prevents people from changing gender markers on passports violates their constitutional rights.

J.D. VANCE

An online dispute erupted between Vice President JD Vance and California Democrat Congressman Ro Khanna over the reinstatement of a 25-year-old DOGE employee, Marko Elez, who had resigned due to racist social media posts. Elez's posts included statements like "Normalize Indian hate.”

Vance defended Elez's reinstatement, arguing against cancel culture and emphasizing that past mistakes shouldn't ruin one's life while criticizing journalists for attempting to destroy people's careers over social media activity. Khanna, of Indian descent, countered by questioning whether Elez would apologize for his offensive remarks, then mentioning implications for both their children. The exchange escalated with Vance telling Khanna to "grow up" and accusing him of emotional blackmail.

CONGRESS

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) introduced a resolution to advance Trump’s agenda, including $175 billion for border security and $150 billion for defense. If adopted, it would allow Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) to push a reconciliation bill on border security, energy reform, and defense without risk of a Democratic filibuster.

Thirty House Democrats tried to enter the Department of Education building but were blocked by security. A federal employee denied them entry, stating he was "doing his job." The lawmakers protested, insisting on their right to enter and criticizing the Trump administration for a “lack of transparency.”
