Make Religion Respected Again

Yesterday, Trump appeared at the bipartisan National Prayer Breakfast (NPB). Addressing both Democrats and Republicans, Trump said last year's assassination attempt deepened his faith and strengthened his connection to God.

During his remarks, Trump urged Americans to "bring God back" into their lives. And Trump vowed to combat growing “anti-Christian bias,” announcing a task force led by Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate and halt discrimination against Christians in federal agencies, including the DOJ, IRS, and FBI. He confirmed Bondi would also work to “fully prosecute anti-Christian violence and vandalism in our society and to move heaven and earth to defend the rights of Christians and religious believers nationwide.”

ALSO…

A former State Department and USAID official is whistleblowing on the widespread waste and fraud that hindered the agency’s work. This follows news that Trump is keeping only 290 USAID staffers; the rest of the 10,000 workers will be terminated by the end of today. Thus, radical left-wingers are voicing concerns about ending the funding of global initiatives that have nothing to do with Americans.

To put this into perspective, Democrats are upset that USAID will no longer fund $20 million for a Sesame Street show in Iraq; $7.9 million to teach “binary-gendered language” to Sri Lankan journalists; $268 million for media outlets in over 30 countries; $10 million worth of meals to terrorist group Nusra Front, and much more.

The scandal has put Samantha Power, USAID administrator under Biden, in the spotlight. A former U.N. ambassador and Obama official, the radical Ms. Power oversaw billions in foreign aid. She’s fighting back by criticizifor the USAID layoffs.

MY OPINION

I think Trump’s brush with death has made him into a better leader in the sense he is more humble; and his humility shines brighter each day. Thus, more of his skeptics appear to like him a little bit more each day — both as a president and a person.

When people see Trump showcasing his faith and speaking highly of God, it sets a tone that has a ripple effect worldwide. Meaning, the president is bringing God back into the American story — and it’s a story other countries will embrace. This is a great thing because as a nation, and as a planet, especially under Obama’s rule, I felt as if too many people abandoned God — or at a minimum put Him on the back burner.

As much as I like seeing D.C.’s corruption being addressed and reckless spending ended, I must say how much I love Trump’s efforts to make America great again in ways that go beyond politics. Don’t be shocked if you see the numbers at church increase over the next four years. A country without faith is a country without a soul.

MORE ON TRUMP

  • Elon Musk’s DOGE revealed the U.S. Government paid $34 million to far-left news outlet Politico, mainly for subscriptions.

  • DOGE will aim their sights on the Department of Education next for auditing. An executive order is under consideration to significantly reduce the department's functions and funding, with eventual abolishment.

  • Trump signed an executive order on Thursday placing sanctions on the International Criminal Court, saying that he would “impose tangible and significant consequences” on people who work on investigations that threaten the national security of the United States and its allies, including Israel.

  • Trump celebrated the NCAA's new policy barring transgender athletes from women's sports following his executive order. Declaring himself "the president to save women's sports," he suggested the Olympic Committee will follow suit.

  • EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, Trump envoy Richard Grenell, and other officials joined LA Mayor Karen Bass to assess debris and hazardous material removal in the aftermath of the Palisades fires.

  • The Panama Canal is fee-free for traveling U.S. government vessels, following Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s visit to the Latin American country. This aligns with President Trump’s push to lower transit fees, or reclaim canal control.

  • Argentina is following America’s lead by banning gender-affirming care for people under age 18. This comes after President Milei ordered the withdrawal from the World Health Organization, just like Trump recently did for the U.S.

  • The Justice Department sued Illinois, Chicago, and Cook County for their "sanctuary" policies limiting local police involvement in federal immigration enforcement, following AG Pam Bondi's call to defund such areas.

  • Trump mentioned Gaza again Thursday on Truth Social, writing, “The Gaza Strip would be turned over to the US by Israel at the conclusion of fighting… The U.S., working with great development teams from all over the World, would slowly and carefully begin the construction of what would become one of the greatest and most spectacular developments of its kind on Earth. No soldiers by the U.S. would be needed!”

  • Trump has issued a letter to Ellen L. Weintraub, the Chair of the Federal Election Commission, informing her of her immediate removal from office. Weintraub publicly contested this action, claiming it violates legal protocol. She asserts her intent to continue serving despite the directive.

  • Today, Trump meets with Japan’s Prime Minister Ishiba at the White House.

  • DOGE has proposed the elimination of the penny due to its production cost exceeding its face value.

  • Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has publicly demanded nuclear weapons or NATO membership as conditions for ending the war with Russia.

THE CRAZY LEFT

Liz Cheney faced backlash on X for her work at USAID. Elon Musk reacted negatively to a post linking Cheney to USAID, prompting an angry response from Cheney claiming she’s “proud” of her work.

Senator John Fetterman says he will vote against the confirmations of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard.

Bisexual Michigan State Rep. Laurie Pohutsky announced she STERILIZED herself in protest against Trump. The Democrat underwent sterilization to avoid pregnancy for ‘fear’ of losing access to abortion.

Hillary Clinton is attempting to blame President Trump for the recent airplane crashes, claiming without evidence his administration threatened air traffic controllers with layoffs. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy issued a response to her comments:

A leftist federal judge from Boston halted the Trump administration’s federal employee buyout plan just hours before the deadline. The pause remains until a hearing next week, where unions will challenge its legality. Over 60,000 employees—about 3% of the federal workforce—have accepted the offer.

A leftist judge from Washington approved a temporary deal restricting the sharing of sensitive Treasury data amid a dispute over access granted to Elon Musk’s team in his government spending review. The agreement allows two Musk-linked Treasury employees to access a payments system but limits them to "read-only" access.

Coast Guard Admiral Linda Lee Fagan was evicted by the Trump administration from her quarters two weeks after her firing. Fagan, dismissed over ineffective border enforcement and prioritization of DEI policies, was given three hours to leave.

VICE PRESIDENT

JD Vance’s half brother, Cory Bowman, has collected petitions to run for the mayor of Cincinnati.

Also, Trump has tasked Vance and National Security Adviser Michael Waltz with overseeing a potential sale of TikTok.

CONGRESS

Senate Democrats delayed Kash Patel’s committee vote for FBI director, pushing it to next week. Referencing concerns over his past remarks and transparency, they demanded a second hearing of Patel.

The Senate confirmed Russell Vought as Office of Management and Budget director in a 53-47 party-line vote, despite Democratic criticism over his ties to Project 2025.

Reps. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) announced the formation of the Congressional Jewish Caucus, with Rep. Brad Schneider (D-Ill.) as co-chair. Nadler cited rising antisemitism as key reasons for its creation.

Reps. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) and Darin LaHood (R-IL) introduced the "No DeepSeek on Government Devices Act" to ban the Chinese AI app from government devices, citing data security risks.

House Republicans, pressured by the Senate, aim to advance their budget plans. Speaker Mike Johnson said late last night that he hopes for a Budget Committee markup on reconciliation next Tuesday to push forward Trump's agenda. The plan includes Medicaid work requirements in their reconciliation bill to cut $500 billion in federal spending. However, Trump’s pledge to “love and cherish” Medicaid complicates matters, as he vowed no cuts unless financial abuse is found.

Saikat Chakrabarti, former chief of staff to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, announced his bid to challenge Rep. Nancy Pelosi, calling the Democratic Party “paralyzed” against Trump. A key figure in Bernie Sanders’ 2015 and AOC’s 2018 campaigns, Chakrabarti left his role in 2019 after clashing with party moderates.

Republican Senator Susan Collins has expressed concerns regarding Elon Musk's influence, particularly critiquing his involvement with the Trump administration's efforts to control federal spending.
