OpEd: TRUMP KNOWS YOUR VOICE IS NEXT

Trump and I have something in common: We have an uncanny way of seeing societal shifts before others see them. For example, in 2014, Trump and I recognized that an outsider had the best shot at winning the GOP nomination and beating Hillary Clinton. We each told Fox News executives we were considering a presidential run. They laughed, saying Jeb Bush was a lock for the nomination, we disagreed. I flirted with the idea but my family was too young, so I chose hosting a TV show on Newsmax instead. Trump ran and proved us right; he beat Hillary.

Months before the 2016 election, with Facebook on the rise, I saw an opportunity where everyone, including folks like you and me, had a voice. In December of that year, after Trump's underdog victory, I knew the mainstream media and Democrats would lash out at Mark Zuckerberg for Hillary's loss. They blamed Mark because Facebook empowered ordinary people, giving them a chance to influence the political landscape.

Up until 2016, Facebook was a place to share baby pictures and cat videos. But I saw its potential beyond that in 2014; I saw its value for politics, so I created a page highlighting my opinions and immigration films. I got lots of traction.

Depsite hosting the top-rated show, I left Newsmax in August 2016. I dedicated my time to build a huge Facebook presence. Within weeks, my Facebook audience surpassed the viewership of any cable TV show I had ever been part of, including my own..

People said I was nuts for abandoning TV, but I knew the future. My decision was justified when, in the three months before the election, my Pro-Trump videos gained me over 1.3 million followers. My 'Walk & Talk' videos on Facebook, which cost $0 to produce, were shared one million times — amassing 100+ million views. Not only did this help me get Trump’s message to audiences he couldn't reach on his own, but it also made me more popular than my years on TV ever did.

Again, Trump and I see a massive shift in the news media that will redefine how messages are disseminated, overturning 70 years of who delivers trusted news and opinions. The greatest aspect of this change? You are the messenger.

Last week, Trump's revealed a major shift in the White House press corps, prioritizing small, independent media outlets over traditional media giants for VIP seating. An online application was launched, inviting small social media creators, podcasters, and content makers to secure spots in the briefing room, resulting in 10,000+ submissions — get ready to see people you never heard of before be front and center.

Trump's 2024 victory was significantly influenced by his engagement with podcasts. His presence on lesser-known shows highlighted the growth of podcasting as a medium free from the traditional constraints of radio, TV, and websites. Without bureaucrats and big tech in the way, podcasting offers an open platform where content isn't controlled or censored by entities like the FCC or manipulated by Google and Facebook. This freedom allows for unfiltered communication; hosts and guests can speak without the threat of being taken off the air or buried in search results and news feeds.

I asked you to take a look at the ad for PodPitch. Why? I always get offers to promote third-party products or services, but I always decline. Instead of endorsing stuff I don't personally use, I use my ad space to sell my own products like DML CBD and memberships for TeamDML, which not only pays better but also aligns with my principles. But when I was offered an ad opportunity by PodPitch, it made me pause. Just days prior, I had discussed with my sons how my prediction about the future of podcast interviews, where the unknown guest takes the spotlight, was proving to be correct.

Last month, I launched a new weekly podcast, ‘LIFE AFTER 50’. It's a platform for everyday people, who are 50 and older, to share opinions, expertise, and life stories with my audience. Within days, I was fully booked for 12 weeks with no rejections for guest spots. I release a new episode every Friday. So far, I've published five shows covering topics like Life After Divorce, Power of Religion, War Crimes, Holistic Health, and Surviving Cancer. This new podcast gets more feedback than my DML NEWS Podcast, proving it's regular folks sharing their voices that draw the most interest. In addition, some of the people I’ve had on as expert guests have landed new customers even though that was NOT the objective.

PodPitch, as advertised, automates the process of finding, writing, and sending pitches to podcast hosts directly from your email, guaranteeing bookings. It seems they're targeting small media personalities, businesses aiming for brand exposure, and aspiring podcasters. But mark my word, they will expand, and here is where I see your future: Trump is pioneering a new model for news dissemination by abandoning the legacy media and leveraging the small operator. Services like PodPitch will soon recognize the potential in empowering regular folks to pitch themselves to podcasts. This trend is already emerging; I'm receiving requests for guest spots on "LIFE AFTER 50", and other podcasters are experiencing the same from everyday folks looking to share their voices.

What I am describing will be huge. Case in point: Consider Rush Limbaugh's "Open Mic Friday" episodes, where listeners called in to discuss any topic with him. Everyday people were heard by tens of millions of listeners who tuned into Rush. Now, imagine applying that concept to podcasts. With the abundance of podcasts and a relatively small pool of guests, it's only a matter of weeks or months before Trump suggests that everyday people should have a place in the news media.

With over 4.3 million shows globally in 2024, the podcast landscape is vast and growing rapidly. In 2023, 22% of listeners subscribed to over 70 podcasts, showing a demand for content that resonates personally. In the U.S., 47% of people listen to podcasts monthly, driven not by a few big names but by a plethora of niche, independent creators eager for fresh, engaging content and guests to enrich their stories.

I provide another case history: In 2015, I discovered two black sisters who I believed would be huge stars if given the chance. Despite having no media experience or political prowess, I offered free advice, training, and gave them the stage names ‘Diamond & Silk.’ They followed my lead, and we launched a first video that went viral. Their lives instantly changed when Trump saw the video. For the next few years they were on stage with him at rallies. I know my stuff! So, here's my advice to you: THE FUTURE OF MEDIA IS YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW.

This isn't just about having your voice heard; it's about influencing the nation, shaping industries and policies, and for those interested, turning it into a business opportunity. I will support this by sharing my own experience from the first time I appeared on TV…

In 1997, I met Scott Passeser, the host of the TV show ‘Jobline’, which highlighted companies with job openings. He invited me on despite my lack of jobs to promote. His predicament was similar to what podcasters experience today - a need for guests. So, I created a job opening for the show. But most of my airtime was spent discussing the economy and the future of my computer recycling business. Turns out, the exposure I received on Jobline led to more interviews, which then led to me being heard by a huge leasing company who ended up giving me a massive contract to recycle their computers. This catapulted my business and dramatically changed my life financially. Get the point?

It costs nothing to check out PodPitch; so visit the site and bookmark the URL because I don’t care how old or young you are, it doesn’t matter where you live, what you look like, or your level of media experience (if any); just like you made Facebook into what it is today, people like you are about to change how news and opinions get delivered. I know that you or someone you know will be the messenger, so give PodPitch a look. That said, I did NOT get paid to write this OpEd. If you sign up with PodPitch, great, but I do not get paid. I do NOT receive one cent if you become a user of PodPitch. My job was to post the ad up top. But I see the future here, so does Trump. Thus, I knew you’d find it interesting. And I’ll be using PodPitch for my business, to get my son Denny on podcasts to build his name. Thus, check out PodPitch to see what drew my attention. If they were a public company, I’d buy the stock. Either way, who knows, maybe Trump will hear your first interview and make you a part of his rallies.

The normal version of the 47 Report will return tomorrow at 6:30am, covering Trump, his administration and the goal to Make America Great Again.

God bless you, President Trump, and the USA!
