MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN
Hello Karoline!
Leading press briefings at the White House can be brutal — but it’s a task now bestowed upon Karoline Leavitt. She is the youngest White House press secretary in U.S. history, and she led the Trump administration’s first briefing Tuesday.
Amongst topics discussed, Leavitt promised greater access for independent journalists, podcasters, and social media influencers to be in the press briefing room, stating President Trump welcomes all “new media” to play a role in getting his message out to the masses. She cited a Gallup poll showing record-low trust in legacy media outlets to prove her point.
Unlike Biden’s press secretary, Leavitt did not rely on a cheat sheet placed within an overstuffed binder. Instead, she fielded a series of questions from the hip without stumbling or appearing unsure of the message. For example, when challenged about Trump’s aggressive deportation efforts, she confirmed with pride that Trump intends to deport individuals who are deemed criminal illegal aliens. She punctuated the message by clearly explaining that any person who crossed the border illegally is considered a criminal and is subject to deportation.
The young press secretary also clarified the mystery of the drones flying over New Jersey and other areas in the U.S. during these winter months. She even cited the revelation as a direct statement from Trump himself right before she was to lead the press briefing: The drones were "authorized to be flown by the FAA for research and various other reasons." Many of these drones were operated by hobbyists, recreational users, and private individuals. Leavitt ended the president’s message by affirming, "This was not the enemy."
This begs the question: why couldn’t the Biden administration ever clarify and confirm the drones were not operated by the Chinese?
Condoms in Gaza: Press Secretary Leavitt also revealed during her first press briefing an audit by DOGE and OBM found that the U.S. spent $50 million in taxpayer money to fund condoms for citizens in Gaza. Most of these condoms were turned into explosive devices for terrorist purposes.
ALSO:
The Buyout: There are a lot of free-loaders in the federal government, and Trump’s new plan to eliminate their positions is to offer them a buyout. According to reports, Trump is offering a buyout for ALL 2 million federal workers to resign by February 6 if they choose not to return to a physical office with his new mandate in place. Each quitting worker would get a severance package, including 8 months of pay and benefits. If 5-10% of the workforce quits, $100 billion is estimated to be saved.
![]() | DML's OPINION |
The White House launched a website for independent journalists to apply for press credentials that offer a seat at the press briefings.
Our access to pro-Trump journalists and DC staffers will make the 47 Report the must-read newsletter in the U.S. And what we are doing is critical now that the mainstream media has another reason to hate on Trump. Get ready for the mainstream media to print countless fake news narratives — they are furious that Trump is pushing them to the side to make room for independent journalists and commentators like us.
Trump is playing the media brilliantly. By owning the message and what is reported, not only does Trump dictate the daily narrative, but he builds a direct line to the American people who rely on small, honest, America-First outlets like mine. I close by saying Trump has really learned his lessons. He is playing this presidency like a seasoned pro who knows how to rattle the other team without losing focus on his overall mission, which is to Make America Great Again.
REACTIONS on X:
Karoline Leavitt is a breath of fresh air after years of KJP. Nice to be reminded a press secretary can actually answer questions. No bulky binders is a + too.
I still have some questions about these mystery drones, though. Are we to believe there was no involvement from the… x.com/i/web/status/1…

Karoline Leavitt is 30 minutes into a Press Briefing and she hasn't looked up a single answer yet. KJP would have gone through three binders and a Magic 8 Ball by now. THIS is why people wanna ditch DEI for Meritocracy.

Wow, in her first press conference, I didn't hear @karolineleavitt stutter, stammer or lie. How is this possible? Oh, that's right, because she's the REAL DEAL:)

Pausing the Spending: Democrats were scrambling after President Trump ordered a pause on funding for "woke and radical programs." A memo directs agencies to review all federal financial assistance tied to executive orders, including foreign aid, NGOs, DEI, gender ideology, and the Green New Deal. Sadly, a federal judge issued a stay on Trump’s spending freeze. Judge Loren L. AliKhan temporarily paused the directive until Monday while considering arguments from the government and plaintiffs seeking to block the freeze.
U.S.-funded aid programs around the world were firing staff and shutting down or preparing to stop operations, as the Trump administration’s freeze on almost all foreign assistance brought their work to a sudden halt.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who initially exempted only emergency food programs and military aid to Israel and Egypt from the aid pause, agreed Tuesday to at least temporarily keep spending money on humanitarian programs that provide life-saving medicine, medical services, food, shelter and subsistence assistance, according to a copy of a signed waiver obtained by The Associated Press.
Saving the Children: President Trump signed an executive order to ban “chemical and surgical” sex-change procedures for minors, writing on Truth Social: “Across the country today, medical professionals are maiming and sterilizing a growing number of impressionable children under the radical and false claim that adults can change a child’s sex through a series of irreversible medical interventions. This dangerous trend will be a stain on our Nation’s history, and it must end.”
Cutting Dead Weight: Dozens of senior USAID officials were placed on paid leave amid an investigation into alleged resistance to President Trump’s orders. A report indicates 56 officials total, along with several hundred contractors affected.
Dep. of Elon: Elon Musk’s initiatives appears to be working! “DOGE is saving the Federal Government approx. $1 billion/day, mostly from stopping the hiring of people into unnecessary positions, deletion of DEI and stopping improper payments to foreign organizations, all consistent with the President’s Executive Orders. A good start, though this number needs to increase to > $3 billion/day.”
Dismantling DEI: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) placed nearly 60 employees on paid leave to implement President Trump’s executive order to eliminate DEI initiatives in the federal government. These employees, solely focused on DEI, had combined salaries exceeding $8 MILLION.
Demoting Milley: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has revoked woke General Mark Milley's security detail and clearance, with plans to demote his rank as well. Additionally, Hegseth has ordered the removal of all Pentagon portraits of Milley.
Water Wars: To combat the ineptitude of blue-state politicians and leaders, President Donald Trump announced that the military has restored California's water supply amid the devastating wildfires. The fires had left hydrants dry and residents without outdoor water access. However, California's Water Resources department denied Trump’s claim, escalating the "water fight."

Noem on Patrol: Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem joined ICE for New York City’s first deportation raids under President Trump, praising agents for removing “dirtbags off the streets.” Noem shared images of her in a protective ICE vest alongside armed officers before the pre-dawn operation.
ICE scooped up a convicted murderer who was paroled by authorities in Massachusetts after serving only 17 years of a life sentence.
Cesar Polanco, 59, was paroled by the Massachusetts penal system because authorities claimed he “showed remorse” for murdering his wife in front of his then five-year-old son. The Dominican national was released from MCI-Norfolk prison, but instead of walking free like he thought he would, Immigration and Customs Enforcement was there to meet him and take him into custody for deportation.
FROM ICE: As of January 28 2025, 969 Arrests; 869 Detainers Lodged
→→→DETAILS: See the list of arrests of illegal alien criminals
Embarrassed Colombians: Colombian politicians condemned President Gustavo Petro's brief "trade war" with President Trump, calling for his impeachment and a congressional investigation. Conservative Colombians are criticizing Petro for aligning with Venezuela's Nicolas Maduro while damaging and isolating U.S. relations by picking a fight with Trump.
Border Chart: On Truth Social, Trump shared a post highlighting a stark drop in average daily encounters with illegal migrants—from 2,087 during Biden’s last 19 days to just 148 in Trump’s first 7 days.

THE CRAZY LEFT
Acosta’s Fallout: Trump-hater Jim Acosta is out at CNN. Acosta confirmed his departure via a live broadcast yesterday.
In his farewell monologue, Acosta claimed that his greatest career accomplishment was when he covered “Barack Obama’s trip to Cuba in 2016, and had the chance to question the dictator there, Raul Castro, about the island’s political prisoners.”
He ended his goodbye with a slam on Trump, telling his audience not to buy into “the lies.” Unfortunately for Jim, most social media users pointed out how Acosta peddled lies for years about Russian collusion nonsense on CNN. Users have also shared past clips of Trump making Acosta look like a fool during his first administration. Trump himself issued a response to Acosta leaving, wishing him “good luck” while calling him a “major sleazebag.”
TransAngry: Transgender service members and advocacy groups are suing President Trump over his restrictions on transgender troops in the military. The lawsuit argues the executive order violates constitutional equality guarantees and threatens their healthcare benefits.
AOC’s Wrath: Viral videos of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's (D-NY) social media tirade against President Trump continue to circulate, including advising illegal aliens on how to avoid deportation and cooperation with Trump’s immigration policies.
FROM VP VANCE:
VP’s Support: Vice President Vance showed his support for Karoline Leavitt’s first press briefing as the new Press Secretary, writing about the “new media” having the opportunity to report the news honestly.
Vance also addressed the recent libelous stories coming out of leftist mainstream media organizations that are trying to smear Tulsi Gabbard ahead of her confirmation hearing for Director of National Intelligence. A recent NYT hit piece prepped on Gabbard claimed she was on the No Fly List because she is secretly an agent of Hezbollah. Vance poked fun at the lunacy: “The lies keep coming. The press seems to have an unlimited supply.”
Congrats and well done to @karolineleavitt on her first press briefing. She killed it up there, and gave voice to a lot of voices in new media who are actually driving the news.

CONGRESS:
CHIPS Act: Lawmakers are staunchly defending the CHIPS and Science Act after former President Trump labeled the legislation a "ridiculous program." Trump's critique came during an address to House Republicans where he expressed intentions to impose high tariffs on semiconductors and computer chips. The CHIPS Act was signed into law to bolster domestic manufacturing of semiconductors, aiming to reduce reliance on foreign suppliers, particularly China.
CONFIRMED: The Senate confirmed President Trump’s nominee for Transportation Secretary, former Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wisc.), with a 77-22 vote.
RFK Jr.’s Opponents: Health & Human Services Secretary nominee Robert F. Kennedy faces two confirmation hearings this week, with seven key Senators—5 Republicans and 2 Democrats—considered to be critical to his confirmation. This includes: Bill Cassidy (LA-R), Susan Collins (ME-R), Lisa Murkowski (AK-R), Mitch McConnell (KY-R), Thom Tillis (NC-R), Cory Booker (NJ-D), and Catherine Cortez Masto (NV-D).
Also Upcoming: Here are upcoming confirmation hearings scheduled in the next few days:
Kash Patel for FBI Director: A confirmation hearing is set for Thursday, January 30, at 9:30 AM.
Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence: Her confirmation hearing is scheduled for Thursday, January 30, at 10:00 AM.
